My first worship album, before chlldrens ministry, before Kingdom Kids and before the Spicy Camels.
A few Psalms put to music to be used in Worship or performance.
Now Digitally re-mastered the The recordings and arrangements sound a bit dated to my ears and very cheesy to me, but my mum loved it and still does & I guess that its a good way of memorising the bits of the bible.
I still live with a story told by a good friend just after i did this album. He was then a social worker working in
Liverpool and had the cassette of the album on in his car whilst escorting a young offender.
The young man begged and pleaded with my friend for the cassette. Why , 'you cant like this type of music?' he inquired. 'Your right' said the youth, 'i just want it so i can church it out of the window'.
Well we all had to start somewhere for me it was in a studio under a church, next to the gents in Bolton.
So for my mum here is Refuge & strength.
download for a donation.
Jims job is a songwriter of childrens praise & worship songs. I have decided for the start of this new venture not to charge but am leaving it it for you to decide what these songs are worth to you personally. For some they will be new. for lots of people these songs will take them back to their childhood.
Enjoy the songs, enjoy the memories
God Bless

Psalm 18
The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
the Lord he is my rock in whom I take refuge.
He is my shield and the strength of my salvation
I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise,
I am saved from my enemies.
The cords of death entangled me;
the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me.
He parted the heavens and came down;
He mounted the cherubim and flew;
Out of the brightness of his presence clouds advanced,
with hailstones and bolts of lightning.
for all who take refuge in him.
And who is the Rock except our God?
He makes my feet like the feet of a deer;
he enables me to stand on the heights.
The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock!
Exalted be God my Saviour!
