lyrics

I started writing songs at the age of fourteen
I was in bed with the flu, three days there I had been
Being so fed up, I couldn't do a thing
So my catarrh and my Guitar gave the world something to sing

These are lyrics from my living room
Music from the bedroom
Tunes from the toilet
And Ballads from the bath

I played a couple of compositions to my mum
She smiled a lot and then she began to hum
so I went up the stairs and played them to my sister
She fell about laughing so with my guitar I hit her

With half a dozen songs, now time to record
on my mirco cassette recorder I got really bored
Tried to get it right, it sounded all so naff
but when my mum heard the songs she began to clap
